Collagen, the body's own protein, is one of the most important building blocks in the body, making up about one-third of all proteins. It is a component and structural element of: bones, skin, muscles, tendons, ligaments, blood vessels, teeth, and corneas.

From the age of 25 onwards, the body begins to steadily and significantly break down collagen and elastin. This process leads to a loss of moisture and elasticity in the skin. Nails and hair become more brittle. Joints and ligaments lose their flexibility.

Collagen is always of animal origin and is usually obtained cheaply from cattle, chickens, or pigs. HAV Collagen is sourced exclusively from sustainable wild-caught fish in the cold waters of the North Atlantic. This is environmentally friendly, more effectively absorbed by the body, has anti-inflammatory properties, and is suitable for pescatarians.

Collagen derived from fish is generally more expensive and complex to produce. However, it is significantly more environmentally friendly and has a lower CO2 footprint than, for example, collagen from cattle production.

Marine collagen is significantly more tolerable for the human body, also has anti-inflammatory properties, and is absorbed 1.5 times more effectively than other animal-derived collagens. A lower dosage is required. Plant-based or vegan collagen does not occur naturally.

Derived from sustainably sourced North Atlantic fish. It has anti-inflammatory properties and improves overall well-being. It improves tissue structure in the body, thus counteracting the aging process.

Vitamin C 80 mg (L-ascorbic acid)
Vitamin C is essential for the body's own collagen production and simultaneously improves its absorption. It is therefore also important for healthy skin, cartilage, teeth, and bones. All in all, vitamin C has a number of essential functions in the body. For example, it acts as a cofactor for several enzymes involved in the formation of collagen (a protein in connective tissue), carnitine, and neurotransmitters (signaling molecules). Vitamin C also helps improve the absorption of non-heme iron from food and, as an antioxidant, protects against free radicals in the body.

Hyaluronic acid 100 mg
Regenerates and moisturizes the skin. Contributes to increased collagen production, thus improving the skin's appearance. Improves skin elasticity. Helps maintain strong and resilient skin. Contributes to the maintenance of connective tissue.

Biotin 100 μg (D-Biotin)
Biotin is a water-soluble B vitamin that, among other things, increases the absorption of collagen in the body. It also stimulates the mucous membranes and strengthens skin and hair.

Vitamin D 40 μg (cholecalciferol)
Contributes to the maintenance of normal teeth and bones, as well as normal muscle function. It promotes calcium absorption, which, among other things, benefits the teeth. It contributes to the maintenance of normal bone and muscle function.

Acerola
Acerola is rich in vitamin C, which contributes to the normal function of the immune system. Vitamin C strengthens collagen production and contributes to beautiful and healthy skin. The berry is used in anti-aging products because it has cell-renewing and antibacterial properties and protects against free radicals.

Rosehip powder
Rosehips are among the fruits with the highest vitamin C content and also contain calcium and magnesium. They thus contribute to the normal function of the immune system. The wide range of nutrients and fiber has a positive effect on digestion. Rosehips also contain galactolipids, which help to inhibit the travel of white blood cells to inflamed areas in the body. Rosehips also give us that subtle citrus flavor.

High-quality collagen is among the safest nutrients you can take. However, since pregnancies vary and health conditions are highly individual, it is always advisable to consult a doctor before taking any dietary supplements during pregnancy, breastfeeding, or when planning a pregnancy.

Collagen dissolved in hot drinks retains its effectiveness because brewing temperatures are generally below the point at which collagen peptides decompose. Therefore, even baking with neutral HAV collagen is possible.

The Strawberry Lemonade, Nordic Berries, and Citrus Glow varieties contain a small amount of sucralose. Since the data is not yet entirely conclusive, we advise against heating these varieties above 150 degrees Celsius. However, they can also be enjoyed on their own. They taste wonderfully fruity and fresh, and are best served (ice) cold.

HAV Collagen is virtually tasteless due to gentle hydrolysis. You can mix it into any beverage and you'll hardly taste it.

Collagen should be thought of like a food. The effects come with intake and diminish without it. Therefore, long-term, daily intake of collagen is generally recommended.
